The Linde Material Handling X20-X35 counterbalance forklifts are the first electric forklifts that, thanks to their high performance and robustness, can be used as a true equivalent to internal combustion forklifts. This gives customers complete freedom of choice and allows them to opt for a quiet, emission-free alternative even for the most demanding applications, without compromising on performance. They are based on the common platform developed by Linde for both internal combustion and electric counterbalance forklifts. The X20-X35 forklifts thus combine the best of both worlds: the power and strength characteristic of internal combustion forklifts and the dynamism, flexibility, and zero emissions of electric forklifts.

The comprehensive safety concept of the X20–X35 electric forklifts protects operators, pedestrians, and goods. The streamlined mast design, narrow A-pillar, and low-profile front panel provide the operator with an unobstructed view of the load and surroundings. Thanks to the overhead guard design, the operator has optimal visibility even when loading and unloading at higher levels. The forklift's low center of gravity and high-mounted steering axle provide a high degree of rollover protection. Furthermore, the standard Linde Curve Assist reduces speed when cornering and prevents the forklift from tipping over. If the load tilts too far forward during lifting, the standard Linde Load Assist automatically intervenes, reducing the forward tilt and lifting speed according to the lifting height. This feature minimizes the risk of accidents caused by falling loads.

Ergonomics

The spacious and comfortable operator's seat, along with the ergonomic seating options, optimizes the driving experience and prevents muscle strain and fatigue. Thanks to the wide field of vision, the operator can comfortably maintain a clear view of the load and surroundings at all times. Operating the forklift's functions requires minimal physical effort, as all the main controls are conveniently located within easy reach. The ride is smooth and comfortable, even on uneven surfaces. The chassis is decoupled by an elastomer ring bearing on the drive axle and additional mast and steering axle bearings, significantly reducing the transmission of vibrations and shocks to the operator. This also reduces noise levels, and all of these factors contribute to decreased operator fatigue and increased load handling efficiency.

Handling

The powerful X20–X35 electric forklifts can handle the most demanding applications, even on uneven surfaces. This is made possible by their long wheelbase for an electric forklift and large tires, combined with a vibration-decoupled drive axle. These new electric forklifts are unfazed by dust, dirt, steep inclines, long distances, or consistently high lifting and carrying forces. The key lies in the new permanent magnet synchronous reluctance motor (SRM+) combined with innovative water cooling that keeps the power modules within their optimal temperature range. This ensures consistently high performance, even in extremely demanding, multi-shift applications. The raised tilt cylinders, combined with the torsionally rigid mast design, also provide high residual load capacity and safe handling of loads between 2 and 3.5 tons, even at high lifting heights.

Service

The standard 3.5-inch display allows the operator to view all important forklift information at a glance, such as remaining range, indicator lights, and operating hours. Text messages on the display guide the operator through simple maintenance procedures. Remote firmware updates and remote fault diagnosis are available. This reduces the number of service calls and consequently lowers maintenance costs. Maintenance intervals are calculated based on continuously transmitted operating hours. Wear and potential damage are detected early via remote diagnostics. This is made possible, among other factors, by the integrated temperature sensor, which continuously monitors measurements such as oil temperature relative to ambient temperature. This helps prevent serious damage. The mast and operator's cab are modular units that can be easily and quickly replaced, minimizing downtime during repairs.
